Email Configuration
Outlook Configuration
Follow the instructions below to configure your outlook email setting for a "Packaged Sites" hosted email account.
Create an account in outlook
OPEN TOOLS > ACCOUNT SETTINGS
Click on "NEW" Icon
Check POP3 then click "NEXT"
Check "Manually configure server settings" then click "NEXT"
Your Name: "can be whatever you like this is what your recipient will see"
Email Address : Email Address
Account Type : POP3
Incoming Mail Server : mail.yourdomain.com.au (may just be .com )
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) : mail.yourdomain.com.au (may just be .com )
Username : Your email with a + instead of @ (eg. info+packagedsites.com.au)
Password : password provided
In More Settings/ Advanced settings
a. Ensure that "leave a copy of message on the server is unchecked"
Click on "NEW" Icon
Check POP3 then click "NEXT"
Check "Manually configure server settings" then click "NEXT"
Your Name: "can be whatever you like this is what your recipient will see"
Email Address : Email Address
Account Type : POP3
Incoming Mail Server : mail.yourdomain.com.au (may just be .com )
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) : mail.yourdomain.com.au (may just be .com )
Username : Your email with a + instead of @ (eg. info+packagedsites.com.au)
Password : password provided
In More Settings/ Advanced settings
a. Ensure that "leave a copy of message on the server is unchecked"
b. Set outgoing Server port (SMTP) to 1025
Then TEST ACCOUNT
Then TEST ACCOUNT
if your test fails check that you are using the correct email address.
